Sitges / Frightfest Preview – Big Bad Wolves

big-bad-Wolves-Movie-posterSeeing as this film has been announced at both Frightfest and Sitges this year (and I’ll be attending both) I thought it best to have a look into the film and post up some details.

Directed by Israeli filmmakers Aharon Keshales and Navot Paushado, Big Bad Wolves is described by IMDB as “A series of brutal murders puts the lives of three men on a collision course: The father of the latest victim now out for revenge, a vigilante police detective operating outside the boundaries of law, and the main suspect in the killings – a religious studies teacher arrested and released due to a police blunder”.

However, a lot of the reviews talk about it’s ‘dark humour’ so I’m not sure that it’s going to be the out-and-out horror that IMDB suggests. It went down really well at the Tribeca Film Festival so  either way I’m really looking forward to this, the only issue is which festival to see it at!
